This February, Chatswood's premier concert hall The Concourse will see its resident orchestra, Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, take to the stage. Known for pushing the boundaries of classical music as well as performing symphonic twists on much-loved rock and pop tunes, the orchestra is welcoming the new year with a Gala Concert — and you're in for one helluva show.
With two performances set for Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, it's the perfect excuse to treat your music-loving date on Valentine's Day. Expect to hear everything from romantic melodies such as Delibes' 'Flower Duet' and Tchaikovsky's iconic 'Waltz of the Flowers' from The Nutcracker to operatic concertos from the likes of Puccini's Madama Butterfly and Bizet's Carmen.
