Mornington's Mr Vincenzo's has had a major glow-up, just in time for the warmer months. The popular, welcoming Italian restaurant on the Mornington Peninsula has undergone a major reno, unveiling a design-forward space three times its former size, plus a wine bar and a breezy terrace (arriving in time for summer). Owners Paul Goddard, Lisa Prince and head chef Michael Kharsas have had their fair share of ups and downs with the venue. Tragically, in 2023, their venue, Colt Dining, burnt down just weeks after opening. With a supportive community and hard work, they reopened eight months later as Mr Vincenzo's. Now, after years of building it into a popular local go-to, the team decided it was the perfect time to expand. "This renovation is the realisation of our original dream for the site, where we can be more things to more people. Guests can now enjoy Mr Vincenzo's in a range of ways, whether that's a mid-week drink, dinner or a special function," says Goddard. Kharsas and his team put on an ever-evolving menu based on fresh produce from the region's producers, now with a stronger Mediterranean feel. He says, "The goal has always been to create something people can come back to. We're committed to doing the simple things well, because combined, they all add up to a memorable dining experience for our guests." Images: Melanie Desa. Like what you see?
