Piccolo Me is a dessert-ified coffee house that also happens to be 100-percent Australian owned. Its fair trade beans are sourced locally and organically, and while you can certainly get your usual coffees — espressos, flat whites and long blacks — the reason this joint pulls a crowd is its over-the-top concoctions. On the hot drink side of things, there are the Nutella bomb hot chocolate and Nutellagato (that's an affogato with Nutella ice cream, chocolate flakes and crushed hazelnuts). For something over ice, opt for one of the coffee frappes. Choose between mint chocolate, matcha, cookies and cream or taro, then top it with whipped cream and Oreos or Maltesers.

You can also grab breakfast or lunch to go. The menu features everything from smashed avocado on sourdough to a range of burgers, including a cheeseburger croissant — which is exactly what it sounds like. It's all very indulgent, but you won't regret it.
