Overview
Finnish design house Marimekko has been brightening up homes and wardrobes around the world for over 60 years. The focus of the brand is about putting the 'fun' in functional; products are expertly crafted to last, with textiles printed at the company's own factory in Helsinki.
Its Sydney store is one of over a hundred around the world. It carries Marimekko's timeless and bold designs that are brought to life via textiles, clothing, accessories, handbags and homewares, including the now iconic red 'unikko' poppy print. The store fit-out, by Japanese design firm IMA, is a mostly black, white and timber affair, but the products more than make up the colour quota. Visit to feast on the designs and pick up a few unique pieces.
