Overview

Set within the gallery hub of Chippendale and Redfern, Abercrombie Street's Galerie Pompom has been a local favourite for years. The mixed media gallery opened back in 2012 and exhibits work from young and emerging artists, representing predominantly Sydney and Melbourne-based creators. At the moment, that includes Sydney's Adam Norton and Danica Firulovic and Melbourne's Elvis Richardson, as well as New Zealand's Scott Gardiner. For more on each artist's background and a glimpse of their work, head to the website. If you're heading there, expect a range of art on display, from bold and tongue-in-cheek paintings to kaleidoscopic sculptures, small-scale installations and fun prints.

Galerie Pompom is open 11am–5pm Wednesday–Saturday and 1–5pm on Sundays, as well as by appointment.
