Overview

The James Street Reserve Community Garden, established in 2010 to make use of a valuable but erstwhile neglected nook of public land, is a beautiful and productive garden tended to by passionate local community members.

You can contribute to the health and maintenance of the garden by joining a working bee on the first Saturday of every month, from 9–11am, or by simply paying the lush patch of flora a visit at any time to scope the latest produce. Despite increasingly living in urban environments, our need for nature remains. Even just marvelling at lavender or freshly grown bok choy can be enough to provide that much needed connection with the great outdoors.
