Overview

Folk-pop musicians Luke Thompson and Lydia Cole with take a break from their current songwriting hibernation to road test some unrecorded, unreleased material.

Mt Maunganui local Thompson can count two EPs and a full length album to his name. His latest The Water EP was produced and recorded all by himself and features a cameo appearance from Avalanche City's Dave Baxter. Cole is known for her delicate voice and intimate songwriting. Her debut album Me and Moon was recorded at Neil Finn's Roundhead studios during a freak snowstorm in Auckland (true story).

Both venues on the duo's upcoming outing have been chosen for their intimate nature and upright piano.

Support from husband and wife folk duo Van der Wel.
