Downtown Shakedown

Overview

Kiwi reggae bands L.A.B and Fat Freddy's Drop, as well as rising pop star Benee, have been announced as co-headliners for a brand new festival in the heart of Wellington.

Downtown Shakedown is expected to draw 10,000 music fans at Waitangi Park on Saturday, 5 December, 2020. L.A.B, known for hit songs such as 'In The Air', 'Ain't No Use' and 'Controller', will be sharing the bill alongside five of the country's biggest acts.

Fat Freddy's Drop, Benee, Broods, Sola Rosa and Sunshine Sound System have also been confirmed for the event, while DJ Downtown Brown will be serving up beats between acts. The new R18 event will be protected from the elements from a giant marquee.
