Overview

Chills are multiplying in the capital this winter as we welcome the Welington Musical Theatre's performance of Grease, the musical. Written in 1971 by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs, the musical remains Broadway's fifteenth longest running show.

Join the class of '59 at Rydell High School as its dynamic students journey into the complexities of love, teen pregnancy and cliques. Dust off that old leather jacket, rev up that Chevy and tease your hair while you enjoy the familiar sing-along tunes we've all grown up to love.

Sporting a young and energetic cast, the lead role of Danny Zuko goes to Waylon Edwards, who is a singer/songwriter with local Wellington band, Poppy Dust. Awhimai Fraser takes on the role of lovestruck Sandy Dumbrowski. Fraser was recently involved in the Wellington production of Hairspray.
