Overview

You've baked the banana bread, binged the tiger doco, perfected lotus pose and cleaned out the wardrobe — now what? Just when you thought you'd done it all in quarantine, Escapade comes along with a new escape game that you can play in the comfort of your bubble.

Escape@Home Forest Adventure is an app-based game from the popular escape room that Kiwis can play under the restrictions of lockdown. Using your smartphone, a survival guide and some household items like scissors and a toilet roll, you'll race to solve a fast-paced mystery.

Participants are hot on the track of hidden treasure — with a secret map guiding the path. Then, your forest camp is hit by a huge storm, the map is blown across the raging river, and you need to find a way to get across to retrieve it. The easy-medium-level will burn between 60–90 minutes of your time in lockdown and will require street smarts, attention to detail and problem solving skills.

The at-home game is best suited to teams up to four people. There's also the opportunity to play across bubbles with a multi-location game option via video chat platforms.

'Forest Adventure' is the first of Escapade's at-home games. The escape room's developers are also working on a card challenge to keep you entertained at home — more information will be available shortly.
