Overview

Here's some folksy goodness to attend on your Friday night: Ben Ottewell, he of the Mercury Award-winning British band Gomez, is playing at San Fran. Perhaps the biggest thing he's known for is his voice. Dubbed "unmistakable," and "not of this world" (GQ Magazine), Ben pairs his tone with searing guitar solos. He was also the lead guitarist in Gomez.

His first solo release, Shapes & Shadows saw him conduct a few acoustic tours, to much global success. He's never before played at San Fran, or even Wellington  his one and only NZ show was at Auckland's Tuning Fork in 2014.

This second effort, Rattlebag is the product of a pledge campaign to fund its release. Infectious tunes, bluesy riffs and his tales of adventure and longing will have you crooning along with Ottewell.

Supporting both of Ben's shows is Buddy, lead singer of the eponymous Los Angeles-based indie band, Buddy. This will be a rare solo set, showcasing his melodic style and powerful tone.
