Busby Marou

The gentle rhythms of the coast as a muse.

Overview

Australian blues-roots duo Busby Marou are hitting the New Zealand road, following the critically acclaimed release of their summer single 'Best Part of Me'. The boys have supported James Blunt and Dolly Parton on tour, recorded songs for the Finn Brothers tribute album and won an APRA Music Award.

Their latest album, Postcards from the Shell House, uses the gentle rhythms of the coast as a muse to the feel-good acoustic melodies, continuing to draw inspiration from their geographical surroundings. Band member and namesake Jeremy Marou's Torres Strait Islander heritage is often referenced, having previously been supported by Indigenous musicians outfit, Breakthrough.

The duo from down under will be joined by singer-songwriter Jamie McDell. The Auckland born and bred musician compliments the tones of Busby Marou with her soulful summer songs, most notably recognised for her 2015 singing-in-the-shower anthem, 'Crash'.

Catch them all at our favourite dive bar, Caroline this Thursday 8 February.
