Funky Dumplings Party

Overview

Over 100 venues will be participating in Wellington's new ten-day Eat, Drink, Play festival this May. In an effort to generate some buzz for the hospitality community, each participating venue has been tasked with creating a Wellington-themed meal and drink pairing or hosting a unique event.

At Asian-inspired restaurant, Master Kong, that means a 1970s-themed dumplings celebration. On Monday, May 10 the waterfront venue is serving up both traditional and contemporary dumplings to a roaring 70s disco funk soundtrack. There'll be bottomless steamed, fried, baked, chilled and open dumplings on the lineup — with cocktails to match.

The $40 tickets include entry and bottomless dumplings, while the upgraded $65 option adds on three drinks tokens. There are two two-hour sessions to choose from.
