Garage Project X Duck Island Collab Launch Party
Sink a few icy treats in the sunshine this weekend.
Overview
Summer is here, the mercury is rising, and you're probably in the mood to wrap your laughing gear around two things — some ice-cold ice cream and some ice-cold beer. Well, two beloved local brands have dared ask the question — why not enjoy both at once?
The hops experts at Garage Project and dairy aficionados at Duck Island have teamed up to create some ice cream-inspired beers — and they're throwing a party to celebrate.
On Saturday, December 3, head down to Garage Project in Aro Valley to sample the brand-new collaborations. There's a toasted marshmallow stout that's captured the energy of an extra-smooth soft serve thanks to its mix of creamy lactose, honey-coated toasted oats, chocolate malt, vanilla and toasted marshmallows. More of a sour fan? Opt for the lemon poppyseed sour that has all the sweet and tart bite you're looking for, thanks to its mix of lactose, oats, wheat, poppyseeds and lemon juice.
There will also be a stacked food menu to line the tum — and a brand new ice cream sandwich made using the toasted marshmallow stout. Not a beer fan? Don't worry — the frozen rosé slushy machine will be operating in full force.
Running from 12pm–6pm, you have plenty of time to go sink a few cold ones (whichever your icy treat of choice) in the sunshine this weekend.
