Overview

When the weather gets colder and the days a little shorter, we all need a hug to get us by. Fortunately, The Wellington Pug Grumble is bringing back the sunshine with another Hug a Pug day. Last year, the event was a huge success, seeing over 1000 attendees hugging pugs on a sunny afternoon. Not only was that a lot of hugs, but it also fundraised over $3000 for New Zealand Pug rescue. So you can join the pack again Saturday 24 March at The Oasis in Odlin's Plaza.

To hug a pug, remember to bring a gold coin donation to help the organisation. You will also want to bring some extra change for food, merchandise and the raffle. Local businesses like Fix and Fogg are lending a paw by supplying pug and human treats alike.

If it's raining on the Saturday, don't grumble, there's a back up plan. Just turn up the same time, same place, just the following day.

So for the love of pug, just hug.
