Overview

As such there are plenty of events on in Wellington commemorating the local lads who gave everything they had to give to try and halt the gears of war grinding away the sanity and humanity of the world. It is important to remember the sacrifice of those young lives, the horror of a global conflict and the impact that the world war had upon New Zealand’s identity as a fledging nation.

There are few ways more poignant to remember this than by walking amongst the graves at the Karori Cemetery, listening to informative presentations on the Gallipoli campaign and much more. The Talks are at 11:00 am, 2:00pm and 3:30pm.
