Livestrung Venue Fundraiser

Overview

Aotearoa's live music venues have been doing it tough during the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, Wellington-based event promoters Low Strung have thrown together a superb lineup of local acts to help keep the music playing.

Marlin's Dreaming, Soaked Oats, Bexy, Hans Pucket, Dateline and Heavy Chest will all take part in the two-hour live-streamed fundraiser this Sunday, 24 May. Each artist has nominated a venue and the profits from ticket sales will be split up evenly and donated straight to their respective Save Our Venues Boosted crowdfunding campaigns. The national 'pay it forward' fundraising strategy was set up to help raise money for dozens of small live music venues during New Zealand Music Month.
