Overview

Oamaru's Craftwork Brewery, run by the lovely Michael O'Brien and Lee-Ann Scotti, made an absolute scene at Beervana 2016. I'd never heard of them before that fateful August weekend, but found myself lining up to try their unique and funky Belgian-inspired beers, then immediately rejoining the line to try the next one. This happened on repeat for at least an hour until I'd tasted my way through their entire offerings.

Cosy laneway spot Little Beer Quarter is hosting Craftwork for a long lunch of Belgian food and drink as part of Road to Beervana. This is a chance to hobnob with a couple of the most charming and creative folk you'll ever meet while getting stuck into rich and rustic dishes. Tickets are selling super quickly, so hurry up if you want to reserve your spot.

Road to Beervana elevates a two-day beer festival into a humungous ten-day celebration of all things hops, malt and yeast. RTB is both the wind up and the cool down for Beervana, featuring delicious degustations, tastings, meet-the-brewer events, tap takeovers, pop-ups, hangover cures and inducers alike, and beer matched breakfasts, lunches and dinners from 4-13 August.
