Marlin's Dreaming

Overview

Emerging from the depths of Dunedin comes Marlin's Dreaming, the musical group carving out a name for itself in New Zealand's psychedelic pop scene.

Celebrating the release of the band's full-length album, Quotidian, recorded at Roundhead Studios and set to be released in 2020, the band is bringing its beats to venues around the country, including Moon1 in Wellington.

At the show the audience will hear tracks from Talk on Commic, the EP that builds on their first release, Lizard Tears, which has been described as indie psychedelic surf rock. The music brings a blend of relaxed, chilled out sounds with upbeat, funky tunes to get get you moving.

The band came to be after Semisi and Tim, lead singer and guitarist, met in a surf shop in Dunedin. Recruiting other musicians they went on to create their first body of work, and following the success of the songs, have continued their musical trajectory to their newest EP.
