Mexico: International Taco Day

Overview

Sunday, 4 October marks International Taco Day, and to celebrate, Mexico is dishing up two-for-one tacos all day.

From 12pm diners can pick up any two soft-shell tacos from the restaurant's new spring menu for $8. You just need to decide whether your selection is going to be turmeric battered fish, chicken guajillo piccadillo, braised pork belly, beef arrachera, or pan-seared achiote prawns. October will also see Mexico restaurants across the country celebrate the work of medical service St John with a taco special. The fried calamari taco (or fried cauliflower version for plant-based diners) is available for $10 all month, with $2 of every taco sold going to support the charitable organisation.
