Overview

New-wave act Mi-Sex and Split Enz keyboardist Eddie Rayner are joining forces for a three-date tour of the country, playing their accumulated hits from the 70s, 80s and elsewhere.

Formed in 1977, Mi-Sex found international attention with their new wave/electronic singles 'Computer Games', 'Blue Day', 'People' and 'But You Don’t Care'. They went on to play alongside the likes of Talking Heads, Cheap Trick, Iggy Pop and The Ramones, as well as play their own headline tours throughout the US and Australia. Following the death of singer Steve Gilpin in 1992 the band is now fronted by Steve Balbi.

Eddie Rayner was the keyboardist of iconic NZ band Split Enz. His work tickling the ivories helped shape the sound of the Finn brothers songs and translated into a huge body of work for Crowded House and Paul McCartney and NZ Idol. ERP (the Eddie Rayner Project) will play the definitive music of the Split Enz era with musicians Rikki Morris (guitar and vocals), Jim Hall (guitar and vocals), Pat Kuhtze (drums, spoons and vocals) and Eddie Gaiger (bass and vocals).
