Overview

Have you heard of a bike rave? At this point it's safe to say this is a cultural phenomenon that's taken off all over the world. Bringing together cycling with lights, music and dancing, Moon Cycles takes your classic bike rave and promises to up the ante.

Hosted by The Sensonauts and Bicycle Junction, and dubbed 'an adventure of the senses', Moon Cycles invites people to deck out their bike, don a costume and join a very unique kind of party.

The Voidwalker from Christchurch is on the decks to provide the soundtrack for the night, with theatre extraordinaire Sabrina Martin, lighting designer Marcus McShane and food haven Retrogrove Cafe completing the sensory experience.

Tickets are available for bring your own bike or including an e-bike if you don't have a bicycle or are worried about fitness. General admission is $29 while e-bike tickets are $39. All ticket holders will receive the location for the event a few days before it kicks off. On March 21, arrival is from 8.30pm with the party starting after sunset at 9pm.
