Shrimp Cocktail Hour

Overview

Every month BATS Theatre is home to the country's first late-night shrimp-themed talk show. The Shrimp Cocktail Hour is described as "a surreal new comedy show serving strange characters, local guests, live music and, most importantly, the shrimp cocktail of the week."

It's the weirdest project yet from award-winning theatre makers Alayne Dick and Aaron Pyke — and was the first show to be performed at the Kent Terrace theatre post-lockdown. Part talk show, part sketch show, Shrimp Cocktail Hour is recorded in front of a studio audience and broadcast to anyone who wants to tune in. Online audiences are invited to call-in live to the show to ask for some advice, to get anything off their chest, or to cause a bit of mayhem. 

The next show on Friday, 2 October is pub quiz themed and will give callers the chance to answer questions and win real prize money.
