Slow Note

A festival of music and poetry in halls and backyards.

Overview

Describing itself as "A festival of music and poetry in halls and backyards," Slow Note is definitely something a bit different. It's an arts festival for all ages. With its emphasis on unity and inspiration over division and difference, it comes across as a welcome breath of positivity.

In an effort to create connection, the performances will be taking place in small, homely spaces across Wellington. The artists, as well, have been chosen for their ability to connect with their audiences. It's emotion that matters here, as well as social and political discourse.

Some of the highlights include i.e. crazy, Michael James Keane and milk. Rob Thorne, the incredible taonga puoro composer and performer, will also be playing.

Brand new and ambitious, Slow Note is not one to miss.
