Remember how fun childhood treasure hunts used to be? Relive that magic around Wellington this weekend with an arguably even better prize — beers from the best breweries the capital has to offer.

From Wednesday, December 1 until Sunday, December 5, Summerstock is on in the capital, encouraging you to get out and about sampling summer brews from 31 of the city's best brewers.

Print off your official Sumerstock trail card, lace up your sneaks and fill a Camelbak with water — you'll need them to trek around the capital the brand new summery offerings from 31 of the city's best brewers. At each venue, you'll get a stamp for sampling the beer of the moment, and once you've collected 12 you're in to win some pretty fab prizes.

Don't worry if you're a teetotaller or just prefer to keep your wits about you — you can also get stamps for food and non-alcoholic drinks.

The stacked line-up will make pounding the capital's pavements a real treat. Cut through summer's heat with the spicy, fruity new 8 Wire at Little Beer Quarter, or if you want something hoppier, head to Bin 44 to sample Yesterdays Sunset, a collaboration with Stoup Brewing in Seattle, Washington. Goldings Free Dive is once again paying homage to North America brews, or if you're in a real orienteering mood, track down Choice Bros down a private alley for a Cherry Gin Sour.

Then submit your trail card online and you could be in to win vouchers, merch from some of the city's best spots, and even tickets to some of the best beer tours in town. Cheers to that.
