Overview

Martinborough's Te Kairanga is welcoming visitors back to its 130-year-old cottage for the reopening its cellar door this Queens Birthday Weekend. To make the most of the final long weekend before winter, Te Kairanga is hosting a series of events.

On Friday, 29 May, cellar door tastings will take place under the venue's oak trees with seated table service and new tasting flights. The following day (Saturday, 30 May), Wellington's Montfoort food truck will be popping up in the cottage garden to serve decadent Dutch treats — from poffertjes to stroopwafels and apple pies.

On Sunday, 31 May, the first edition of 'Vintage Sunday', will provide visitors with an opportunity to taste rare and aged wines selected by the winemakers from the Martinborough Vineyard and Te Kairanga winery cellars. On offer all weekend will be a selection of local goods to pair with your wine, the lineup of Lighthouse Gin and mixed cases of wine to take home.

Bookings are now open. Tasting tables can be booked for groups of up to ten people. Contact tk.cellardoor@foleywines.co.nz to reserve your place under the oaks.
