Overview
Tiny Ruins, the brainchild of Kiwi singer-songwriter Hollie Fullbrook, has been making waves since the album Some Were Meant For Sea was released in 2011. The band's second, Brightly Painted One, was awarded Best Alternative Album by the NZ Music Awards, and it's easy to see why. A blend of smooth vocals, evocative lyrics and talented musicians make the group one to watch.
They are now back with their third album Olympic Girls, which more than lives up to their previous successes. Haunting and minimalistic, it has already garnered great reviews from Mojo and Uncut.
Following shows here in New Zealand, the band is heading over to Europe. They have performances lined up across the UK, Germany and France, among others. From there they have dates in several cities across Australia.
Having performed in the past with The Handsome Family, Mumford & Sons and Marlon Williams, they are definitely not one to miss. Catch them at Te Auaha Tapere Nui on Sunday, 10 March.
