Overview

It's easy for art exhibitions to pass you by. You mean to go during the weekend or perhaps nobly during your work lunch break, but then three months pass and the exhibition opens and closes and you missed it. City Gallery Wellington's late nights are here to help. On the first Thursday of every month the gallery stays open late for art, music, talks, wine, beer and food.

Leave work and head to the gallery to drink a Tuatara beer, eat pan-fried dumplings with that addictive Mum's Sauce from the pros at House of Dumplings while you soak up music from DJ B.Lo and take in the excellent exhibitions on offer.

Join in the tour of Colin McCahon: On Going Out with the Tide and sit in on Frank Stark's talk on designer chairs in conjunction with an exhibition of 100 chairs made in 100 days by designer Martino Gamper. A Thursday night well spent.
