Overview

Tuatara craft beer and culture go down smoothly every month at Tuatara Open Late. This month, City Gallery presents Book Club, Orchestra of Spheres and more.

On the first Thursday of every month, the City Gallery presents a lineup of culture, art, music, books, beer, wine, and food. This month is no exception. The lineup for March includes artists Peter Robinson and Kerry Ann Lee, along with the City Gallery Book Club. Composer Samuel Holloway will be offering his distinct thoughts and perspectives on Yona Lee's work during the evening. Yona Lee is a New Zealand-Korean artist who creates large, maze-like installations that are on exhibition now.

The Book Club returns with 2019's guest host Pip Adam along with writers Chris Tse and Megan Dunn. Academic Stephen Epstein will also make an appearance.

The City Gallery Book Club reading list covers Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, Here, a graphic novel by Richard McGuire. Nowhere to be Found, a short contemporary work by Korean writer Bae Suah is also included. Finally, music! Ambient 1: Music for Airports, by Brian Eno.

To finish off the evening, the ancient-future funk band Orchestra of Spheres will perform live, therefore giving you a roundup of the best kind of culture.
