Overview

If you still haven't made it to this iconic event at City Gallery, this is your last chance before the new year. The final Tuatara Open Late for 2019 will see an evening full of art, music, film, beer and food.

Beginning at 5pm, you'll get the opportunity to experience an after-hours tour of News From The Sun, an exhibition featuring three photographers who approach themes such as the window, the horizon and still life. Enjoy simplistic seascapes by Harry Culy, plastic bottle compositions by Shaun Waugh and Justine Varga's combination of cameraless and lens-based photography.

Enjoy a screening of Daisies at 7pm. The feminist feature film by Czech director Vera Chytilova follows two young women called Marie as they play pranks on gullible older men, and conspicuously consume and speculate their own existence.

Along with some incredible art and film, you'll be greeted by the dreamy psychedelic pop music of Glass Vaults. Of course, there will also be plenty of Tuatara beer, Seresin Estate wine and treats from Mao and Co to enjoy. Entry is by koha.
