Overview

Twelve Wellington acts will take part in the inaugural showcase. On the night, each act will be given a 20 minute slot to perform any number of covers by any songwriter from the Capital City, past or present, dead or alive. Organisers have encouraged the acts to choose artists that sound completely different to their usual style, and make the songs their own. They also mention that, “things could very well get weird.”

The bill will feature performances from: Newtown Rocksteady, Tunes Of I, Myele Manzanza, The No Problemos, Steezin' Hawkings, Richter City Rebels, Melting Faces, Paddy Fred, The Strowlini Orchestra, Funkacybin, Ed Zuccollo and Chocolate Box Deluxe.
