Bad puns, grotesque illustrations, bird skull model kits and other related themes will be found at this year's returning Wellington Zinefest. Imagine wandering from table to table amongst the zine-making community; you're browsing through a variety of unique designs, viewing the world through the eyes of a local artist.
A diversity of creative talent will be found at over 60 stalls containing zines and other self-published projects. The festival of DIY publishing will take place from midday on Saturday, 17 November. The event is all-ages-friendly and accessible for those with walking disabilities at the creative hub of Te Auaha on Dixon Street.
Sales at the zine market are cash only and typically cost a few dollars to cover production. Alternatively, if you feel like flaunting your own creative flair, you can bring a zine to trade on the day.
If your walls are sparse and your creative appetite needs to be satisfied, Wellington Zinefest is a sublime option for your Saturday afternoon.
