The perfect spot for pre-show dinner and drinks, Sydney Dance Lounge has been a longtime go-to for Walsh Bay culture vultures. Nestled on the wharf housing Sydney Dance Company, the Lounge blends casual eatery with upmarket surrounds pretty seamlessly — and it's right across the road from Roslyn Pack Theatre.
Industrial chic, bird cages filled with candles, statement lighting and over-sized flower arrangements set the stage for a large, well-sourced beverage list and food menu that favours share plates. The roast beetroot salad with toasted hazelnuts and Bulgarian fetta ($10.50) is a standout at the Sydney Dance Lounge, as are the rough log stools in the corner.
