Overview

Creative Mornings is a free monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types. Introducing the global of theme of 'play', this month's session will be led by Tanja Jade aka Misery. Each session features a 20 minute talk and a hot cup of coffee to get the brain cells going.

Renowned worldwide for her graffiti street art and fashion label, Misery has gone to mainstream success. This includes representation with New Zealand’s premiere art auction house Webbs and holding international exhibitions in Berlin, Taiwan, Melbourne, Paris and Los Angeles. Misery’s recognition has attracted endless media attention, including a half hour award winning documentary produced by Sticky Pictures. Some recent Misery collaborations include: Bitra, Anna Sui, Casio Baby-G, Telecom, Serato and Piaggio.

Stimulating minds since 2008, Creative Mornings began in New York and has spread across the globe, local chapters sprouting in London, Lima Ljubljana and little old Auckland. The October edition features in the Art Week programme, but Creative Mornings is an ongoing regular event which takes place at various locations across Auckland.
