Overview

Yo Future explores the fears and preoccupations of the millennial generation (you know, the people born after 1984). Director Jo Randerson poses questions to the 20-odd actors like 'What does the world look like to you?' 'What matters most?' 'What stereotypes are there of young people?' 'What would you fight for?'
Different incarnations of this show with local performers from Wellington, Invercargill and Hamilton have all produced different results. From Shortland Street nurses to models to Youtube-famous youth, the Auckland cast is shaping up to be one of the most fascinating to date. Discussions on what's important for Auckland’s future have so far included public transport, population growth, the performing arts and, of course, the all-important impending zombie apocalypse.
