Cazadogs

Overview

This is a tale of two streets. Enigmatic K' Road favourite Lovebucket and feted wild meat and game Dominion Road restaurant Cazador join forces for two nights only. Lucky diners will have the opportunity to step through the heavy velveteen curtains of Lovebucket to try Cazadogs.

These hotdogs with a wild twist are complimented by the perfect buns by The Real Bread Project. Do not let the street (food) cred fool you, the simplest dishes are often the hardest to perfect and are undoubtedly more than the sum of their parts.

Under the hands of Cazador owners Rebecca Smidt and Dariush Lolaiy, the humble 'dog is transformed into a rich, earthy venison sausage topped with a tart sauerkraut, mustard and ketchup encased in a milk-bread bun that will melt in your mouth. If you're after something more delicate, a wild rabbit, leek and fennel sausage topped with mustard-mayo and cress in a tarragon bun might be more up your alley.

Whatever you choose, it can all be washed down with some cocktails by Lovebucket's resident mixologist Lisa Lopez Lopez. Cazadogs is happening between 5.30pm and 9pm on 22 and 23 November with live music and DJ Stinky Jim only adding to the ambiance.
