Overview

The last time irregular burger pop-up the Bearded Clam surfaced in Parnell it generated a queue of punters thirsty for beers, burgers and chilli fries. The event sold out in unbelievable time.

This April the American-style burger joint, run by Adam Crickett and Ryan Kneebone, will be at it again with Crosstown Burger Spot 2.0, taking over the kitchen of Goodness Gracious in Parnell. From 4.30pm until 9.30pm, or until the kitchen runs dry, the Bearded Clam will serving up the goods.

For those who have never sampled a Bearded Clam creation, our resident burger expert called them the "perfect mix of high quality — homemade 100% beef patties and custom baked semi-brioche buns — and dirty additions like pre-sliced American cheese and Best Foods mayo." Our pick is the brisket chilli cheeseburger, a saucy and spicy mess of a thing, packed with huge flavours and featuring an astronomical calorie count. The menu changes frequently so you'll have to turn up for a taste. Arrive early.
