Still harbouring Whip It fantasies? Keen to commit to a brand-new hobby in 2023? Lace up those skates baby — it's time to get rolling.

The Hey Macarena squad (the ones who have covered those epic roller-discos we've covered in the past) are offering a free skating lesson down at Myers Park this weekend, as part of Auckland Council's city centre push.

Join rollerskating aficionados Mercedes, Madi and Mac in Myers Park from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday, January 21 — you can BYO skates or borrow theirs. It's a great opportunity to get active, learn a new skill and get some vitamin D, all at the same time. Don't worry if you're uncoordinated or a brand-new beginner – you'll be well looked after.
