Why do we need creativity? What does 'creative living' mean and why is it important? These are just a few of the big questions being tackled by the panel at the Freedom Farmers Late Night event.

Freedom Farmers: New Zealand Artists Growing Ideas is the Auckland Art Gallery's flagship summer exhibition which explores themes of the environment, domestic life and individual creative liberty. The Freedom Farmers Late Night opens up the exhibition for after hours viewing and provides insight into some of the ideas behind the work.

Join Radio New Zealand’s Kim Hill as she chairs a discussion with leading figures in science, business and art on what ‘creative living’ means today and why we should be taking it seriously. Speakers include Ecostore’s Malcolm Rand, clinical neuroscientist Dr Cathy Stinear, actor and playwright Miranda Harcourt along with exhibition curator Natasha Conland.

Following the panel discussion is a live music performance by sonic sound experimenters White Saucer. A selection of food and beverages will be available throughout the evening from the pay bar making it a great spot for a different kind of after work wind-down, or a suave and sophisticated date.
