Overview

Objectspace Talkfest 2013 is a week's worth of events designed to inspire and connect the creative community. This year's Talkfest is centred around the theme of 'representation' and how it relates to exhibitions, the WWW, writing and publishing, and new terrain.

For makers, designers, students, teachers and collectors Objectspace Talkfest is a chance to share ideas and meet like minds. Not only do you get to hear talks on relevant issues from industry professionals, you also get to put your own two cents in. The series of talks covers a wealth of topics; including respresentation in galleries, crowd-funding, publications and publishing, developing international connections and public art opportunities in Auckland.

A special Pecha Kucha evening will be taking place in conjunction with Objectspace as part of the Talkfest. Pecha Kucha is a platform for creative people to share their ideas with the wider community. The unique presentation format allows each speaker 20 slides which remain on the screen for 20 seconds each, totally 6 mins 40. It's long enough to get your point across, but short enough to keep things fast-paced. Tickets are free, but limited.
