Overview

After touring the globe, Princess Chelsea returns to perform on our fair shores for the first time in three years in support of her fourth album The Loneliest Girl.

This latest offering is brimming with orchestral flourishes and a touch of synth not dissimilar to The Velvet Underground or The Cramps. It's innocently romantic with a touch of the occult and proves to be a compelling listen. Unlike Princess Chelsea's previous efforts that were were slick with the shine of 1980s electro-pop, The Loneliest Girl is stripped back, childlike approach allows for Princess Chelsea's humorous and biting lyrics to really shine through.

Coupled with two openers — the effervescent jangle pop of Polyester and the psych-pop glam of Creme Jean, the night will be a treat for lovers of local indie pop. Princess Chelsea will be performing on Friday, 26 October at Hollywood Cinema with tickets available at Under the Radar. Don't miss out.
