Overview
Cut Collective will be exhibiting their latest iteration of Public Access this April - Public Access 5 'Picture Perfect In A World of Chaos'. The exhibition which will take place at Silo Park, is a collaborative project featuring the work of Cut Collective, John Baxter and a host of other artists. Addressing a zeitgeist of endemic conflicts, Public Access 5 seeks to raise issues of art and shared environments and the role of community in our of turbulent times.
The Public Access project was initially started to showcase independent artist's works, developed outside the pressures of their working environment. Over time however the efforts have focused on being much more collaborative, with the installations reflecting the interests and concerns of the wider group.
After a successful showing in Nelson, Cut Collective have been looking forward to exhibiting the work in their home town of Auckland. The exhibition will feature as many aspects of their art forms as possible - including painting, sculpture and video - and will focus on exploring the notion of 'picture perfect in a world of chaos'.
