Roger Waters’ three-year reimagining of Pink Floyd’s theatrical ‘Wall Tour’ reigns as the highest-grossing tour for a solo musician ever. After carrying out 219 shows through six continents, and raking in $460 million in profits, the songwriter is now bringing The Wall concept to the big screen.
Tipped as a “protest movie,” Roger Waters The Wall fuses concert footage from the tour as well as rushes of Waters dealing with the loss he has felt throughout his life due to war; The Wall album is based on his experiences growing up in post-war England.
