Te Wiki o te Reo Maori at Beau

Overview

As if you needed any more reason to head to Beau for a post-work tipple — the Ponsonby wine bar and eatery is running a special menu for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori and we're all about it.

Through an interactive menu on the counter, patrons can place their order in reo — whether they're just popping in for a karaihe wāina (glass of wine) or want some delicious kai. The heihei parai (fried chicken) is our personal fave.

You can also learn the te reo Māori names of various wine regions around Aotearoa — and even express your allergies and intolerances. Basically it's learning while drinking and dining — our favourite means of education here at Concrete Playground.
