With the festive season now in full swing, it's time to get amoungst the fun and cheer, and what better place to do it then in Auckland central. The Edge have teamed up with some of Auckland's talented Christmas cheer producers to deliver a series of Christmas events that would keep the grinchiest of grinches content.

Bandstand Under the Stars:
December 7-21 2012

Dance under the stars, with Salsa to Swing, Bollywood to a Celtic Ceilidh (kay-lee) and classic Ballroom. This is your chance to get your dancing shoes on and learn some new moves. The fun-filled evening will be hosted by Nick Rado, 2011 Winner of NZ Comedy’s Best MC, and stylists will be on site to help you glam it up in the style of the night.

Quirky street theatre that makes coming into Aotea Square just a little more adventurous. Discover the masked street theatre of Comic Interludes, the stunning footwork of Tango De Construct, be enchanted by the magical giant pop book  ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, watch a vibrant dance performance by Pacific Me City, experience live body art by Moving Canvas and get physical with White Face Crew’s Unsung Heroes.

Live at Lunch
Monday to Friday December 10-21, 12 noon to 2pm.

Head down and lounge in the deck chairs or play a giant game of connect 4 or table tennis, while listening to music by local Kiwi artists. Featuring acts such as Spoilers of Utopia, Valiant Boys and Tuba Christmas to name a few.

Christmas Markets
14 - 16 December, Friday, 5pm - 10pm, Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 5pm, Aotea Square

If you need a stocking stuffer or a special gift, head to the Christmas markets by Auckland’s crafty folk and local artisans.

Auckland Art & Craft Fair
Saturday 8 December, 11am to 4pm, Aotea Centre

A special event designed to showcase a selection of New Zealand’s best independent and contemporary Designers, Artists & Crafters selling their products direct to the public for one day only.
