Overview

Combining brunch and markets in one handy spot? Sydneysiders citywide might just implode. One of Sydney's favourite weekend brekkie spots, The Grounds of Alexandria, is now home to a bustling boutique artisan market — open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm.

While you're waiting for your table at The Grounds Cafe or The Potting Shed, you can browse the wares of 30-40 different local stallholders from local honey to homewares, hot sauce, jewellery and skincare products, and enjoy a spot of live music from emerging Sydney artists while you're perusing.

Importantly, stallholders actually get some serious perks out of the markets too. "The Grounds Markets is a great opportunity to offer support to local producers and give thanks to the community," says The Grounds founder Ramzey Choker. "All the stallholders who have joined us for The Grounds Markets will also have first access to our new courses over the next few months. We want to support these local businesses on their journey and pass on our key learning's by discussing entrepreneurship. This is in it's early stages but we are hoping to start these sessions by the end of the year."
