Fila Casablanca
This secluded, reimagined Queenslander blends wellness, nature and thoughtful design on a 38-acre private estate in the Noosa Hinterland.
Overview
The macadamia-lined hills of the Noosa Hinterland are home to Fila Casablanca, a luxury farm stay designed for those who want to slow down without compromising on style. You might feel like you're a world away from anything here, but in reality, the six-bedroom estate is just 20 minutes from the buzzy Hastings Street and moments from Eumundi Markets.
The design blends heritage Queensland architecture with contemporary, globally influenced elements and a deep connection to place. Set across 38 acres, Fila Casablanca is the vision of celebrated designer Alex Zabotto-Bentley, who worked with the existing Queenslander on the site as a foundation and reimagined it with locally sourced timber, hand-cut stone and mineral paints infused with pigments from the property's macadamia leaves and tree barks, as well as the nearby tropical rainforest. Furniture and textiles sourced from villages in Morocco, India and Indonesia sit comfortably side-by-side with bespoke Australian-made pieces, creating a richly layered interior that still feels grounded in the region's natural rhythms.

The main house includes four bedrooms, each with an ensuite and private retreat, while an adjacent two-bedroom cottage offers extra space for groups or multi-family stays. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, vertical timber slats and textural finishes cast soft light and long shadows that transform throughout the day, inviting the outdoors in.
Wellness is a key part of the experience, with a private gym, infrared sauna and cold plunge all housed in the property's dedicated wellness hub, The Shed. There's also a treatment room for private facials or massages, but therapists can also come directly to the suites. Fila Casablanca's concierge service can also arrange yoga, pilates and seasonal feasts cooked by private chefs, so guests can shape the stay exactly as they want it — be it an immersive retreat or a slower-paced escape.
