Overview

The Brisbane and Australian music scene have completely exploded in the last little while, with incredible tunes coming out at all angles. No stranger to the limelight is local band Last Dinosaurs, who have had more than their fair share of Triple J airplay, with a feature album recently on the airwaves that broadcasted their unique and raw rock sound to all corners of the nation.

They’ve just released their debut album, ‘In a Million Years’ and have a sweet record international record deal under their belt. What’s more is that they’re embarking on a national tour to display their critically acclaimed talents, before once again bearing us witness to them at this year’s Splendour in the Grass. After that point, who knows, they may never come back after they are inevitably snapped up by the marketing sharks and music execs overseas.

Even co-Splendour artists Bloc Party have had something to say about the Last Dinosaurs, tweeting about how catchy their debut is and that the guitar work is the best they’ve heard in a long time. With that kind of kudos, there’s no surprise the Brisbane group have had so much demand they’ve had to announce another show.

As if that wasn’t enough, the generous dudes are streaming their album on their Facebook page and have a competition to win a Fender Stratocaster. What are you doing? Go buy a ticket, now.
