Eastsiders, there's a new bar on your side of town, and it's looking to become your regular hangout, go-to restaurant and all-round favourite local spot. There's a reason that Barcadia's name plays with the Ancient Greek term for natural splendour and harmony, after all. Think of this Oxford Street establishment as your habitat away from home.

That's the welcoming vibe Barcadia aims for — and with the doors open until midnight every day of the week, it really is the kind of place that encourages patrons to drop by, eat, drink and relax. That it boasts fine food, flowing beer taps and plenty of other beverages certainly helps.

In fact, the menu alone is enough to entice people in the door several times, whether enjoying bar snacks such as a make-your-own tortilla board or sitting down for a selection of small and large share plates takes your fancy. Plus there's the dessert range, which includes a doughnut lollipop platter. Yes, that's a real thing. Yes, it's all as good as it sounds.

Find Barcadia at 136 Oxford Street, Bulimba. For more information, visit their website.
