When Four Hearts Brewing Pumpyard Bar and Brewery opened early in 2015, it became Ipswich's first new brewery in more than a century. That's quite a feat, but they haven't stopped there. In fact, we think that creating a choc-malt beer laden with marshmallows, cocoa and biscuits might just be their crowning achievement.
The S'More Than A Feeling sweet stout is Four Hearts' newest tipple; however if something more traditional better suits your tastebuds, then you'll find that flowing through their taps as well. Nineteen Ten, a rich, aromatic American barley wine, commemorates the year their historic building was constructed, while the hoppy Seasonal New World Pilsner is the very definition of easy drinking.
There's more where they came from, including take-home growlers, but if hanging out and having a few takes your fancy, then grabbing a meal is a smart idea. Frickles, sweet potato fries, pulled pork and smokey BBQ brisket burgers, five types of pizzas, and steak, lamb, fish and salad mains are just the beginning — of the food options, and of your Ipswich eating and drinking bonanza.
